Total Bummer man! This guy did some spectacular stunts, I guess it was only a matter of time. It’s great that he has lived this long. RIP Eevel Knieval!
Well the shit is finally hitting fan with Unique Performance. The company is finally calling it quits after just filing bankruptcy on November 12th. The company owes around $1 million to $100 million, that’s a huge debt. It’s really sad for the Mustang enthusiasts who put deposits down on custom Mustangs. No arrests have been made in the case, and authorities are still investigating whether charges will be brought against Unique Performance owner Doug Hasty or other company employees. I really hate publishing stuff like this on my Mustang Blog, but it shows how bad our economy is effecting our hobbies and our lives.
I tell ya it’s not looking good for Mustang enthusiasts with oil being $100 a barrel, that is just rediculous if you ask me! These oil companies are just getting richer and richer. What Ford needs to do is either build a Mustang capable of running off of a battery or biodiesel. That’s the only way the Mustang community is going to survive.
I live in Detroit and the job situation isn’t getting any better. I’m getting really close to selling my 04 Cobra and waiting till’ something more economized comes out. I mean I have to pay top dollar for insurance, gas, and a car payment. It all ads up! I think things need to change or we will be seeing a big downsizing in the Mustang community.
All you need is some VHT Nite Shades and some patience. Some enthusiasts actually wet sand the tail lights to get a really smooth finish, but you don’t really have to do that if you don’t want to. Nite shades gives directions on the bottle. This can really add a nice look if you want a two tone car or an all black car.
I’m a member of digitalcorvettes.com, I like to visit there from time to time. Well yesterday I noticed a member spotted the all new Blue Devil Corvette at the Laguna Seca Race. Man it looks bad! It took a few laps at the track and raised hell. I think a lot of Ford Mustang owners are definitely scared of this super Corvette coming out, it’s definitely going to kick some ass at the track. This Mustang Saleen Extreme pays homage to the Ford GT40, the legendary Le Mans winner of 1965, 1968 and 1969 years. This is very limited and is only available in a few units. I’m not a big fan of the color scheme, but I still think it runs rather nicely with the car and I’m glad Steve Saleen decided to show respect towards the GT40.
That’s right, you read the title right. There is a new Knight Rider TV series and it’s starring the all new Shelby Mustang GT500KR. The days are over with the 3rd gen. Fbody and mullet hair, the KR is taking over. There’s no confirmation on what celebrity will be playing as the star in the show and when the show will start, but I’m pretty excited. I hope they do a good job with the show, please don’t implement any cheesy acting or bad special effects. Take it from the old movie Bullitt, good video footage can be developed without any special effects.
You really have to agree with me that the Mustang Cobra emblem is just the best car logo ever made. Ford’s SVT division did an awesome job with it, it’s very aggressive looking and perfect for the Mustang. The ribbed scales in the middle and curled up tail really get the Cobra into fighting position. Kind of an analogy of when the Mustang is getting ready to smoke another car at the drag strip. Really give an agressive look for the Mustang!
I’ve actually seen some enthusiasts take off the Mustang in their grille and stick in the Mustang Cobra emblem. I think that just looks absolutely sweet, I guess that’s the main reason the new Mustang Cobra GT500 has it now in its grille instead of the Mustang emblem. It’s not to say the mustang emblem isn’t sweet at all, because it’s rather cool looking too. Just the Cobra emblem screams muscle car!!!
