What makes you enjoy your Mustang so much?

Mustang Friends and FamilyI would have to say my friends and family for me. I mean the look I saw on my dad’s face when I got my first Mustang was just so priceless. I think he enjoys having the car in our garage more than me. We have a 04 Mustang Cobra by the way, that’s if you haven’t read my “About Mustang Blog” page. We live in Michigan so right around the time the Dream Cruise comes up, we take a spin out on Woodard. It really brings back some good memories for my pops. It just makes me feel so warm and good in side that I can bring back those memories for him with this Mustang. He really makes me appreciate the Mustang that I have!

Then there’s my friends. Just about every weekend we cruise up and down Woodward in the Cobra. We like to chat about cars, women, the xbox, etc… It’s so much fun! Both the car and my friends really make me appreciate life a little more. Without the two, I don’t think I could enjoy life to it’s full potential. It really creates a getaway for me after a long weeks of work. Thank you Ford!

Electric Steering for 2010 Mustang?

2010 MustangThe gossip flying around the web is saying that the 2010 Mustang might have electric steering. A lot of Mustang owners aren’t too happy about this, some have experienced the way it feels on other cars and they aren’t impressed. It will be interesting if Ford implements it…

One of my Most Favorite Muscle Car Pictures

Cobra Camaro ChallengerThis picture is definitely one of my most favorite muscle car pictures off the web. It has the new age Mustang Cobra, 2009 Chevy Camaro, and the 2008 Dodge Challenger in it. I really like the high contrast and graphics in this picture. The rain beating on the cars really help bring out the mean muscle car look for these cars. Mustang Cobra GT500 looks so sweet!

Blast from the Past: Mustang Movies

Over the years there have been special appearances from Mustangs all over Hollywood. Well, I have put this special list together for Mustang enthusiasts on the net. If you haven’t seen of them, I suggest checking them out.  Some of them are my favorite movies!

  • (1968) Bullitt - An all guts, no glory San Francisco cop becomes determined to find the underworld kingpin that killed the witness in his protection. Green Bullitt Mustang Throughout whole movie.
  • (2003) 2 Fast 2 Furious - Set in Miami, Officer O’Conner, stripped of his badge, is recruited to infiltrate the Miami street racing circuit in an effort to redeem himself. Red candy apple S281 Saleen in the beginning gets crushed by a semi.
  • (2003) Hollywood Homicide - Two LAPD detectives who moonlight in other fields investigate the murder of an up-and-coming rap group. Another S281 making an appearance throughout the movie, Detectives Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett drive it.
  • (2000) Gone in 60 Seconds - A retired master car thief must come back to the industry and steal 50 cars with his crew in one night to save his brother’s life. Nicholas Cage is running from the cops in a 1967 GT500(Eleanor) at the end of the movie.
  • (2007) American Gangster - In 1970s America, a detective works to bring down the drug empire of Frank Lucas, a heroin kingpin from Manhattan, who is smuggling the drug into the country from the Far East. 1966 Shelby Mustang GT-350H makes an appearance in the middle of the movie as Josh Brolin’s car, you know the big brother from Goonies.
  • (1994) Beverly Hills Cop III - Axel Foley, while investigating a car theft ring, comes across something much bigger than that: the same men who shot his boss are running a counterfeit money ring out of a theme park in Los Angeles. In the beginning of the movie Eddie Murphy rolls up to the cop station in a nice red 5.0 foxbody, a lot better than that beat up Chevy Nova he used to drive :).
  • (1993) Born to Run - A look at the world of big city street racers. When one of them falls in love with his brother’s woman he soon finds he must battle the mob to keep her and stay alive. Richard Grieco races a 1970 Mustang Fastback throughout the whole movie. Great underated movie, needs to see this if you haven’t yet.
  • (1993) Dazed and Confused - It’s the last day of school at a high school in a small town in Texas in 1976. The upperclassmen are hazing the incoming freshmen, and everyone is trying to get stoned, drunk, or laid, even the football players that signed a pledge not to. 1965 and 1967 Mustang convertible, 1969 coupe, 1969 convertible make appearances. Cult Classic!
  • (1989) Road House - A tough bouncer is hired to tame a dirty bar. Ben Gazzara drives a red convertible 5.0 that runs Patrick Swayze off the road. Great movie, I really liked it!
  • (1980) Hollywood Knights - Led by their comedic and pranking leader, Newbomb Turk, the Hollywood Knights car gang raise hell throughout Beverly Hills on Halloween Night. 1965 Mustang convertible in the movie. Movie was great, lots of nice cars and laughs throughout the whole movie.

  • (1989) Lock Up - Frank Leone is nearing the end of his prison term for a relatively minor crime. Just before he is paroled, however, Warden Drumgoole takes charge. Drumgoole was assigned to a hell-hole prison after his administration was publicly humiliated by Leone, and has now arrived on the scene to ensure that Leone never sees the light of day. 1965 Mustang coupe makes an appearance as a car Sylvester Stallone and his jail mates try to fix up.
  • (1990) Marked for Death - Chicago DEA agent John Hatcher has just returned from Colombia, where his partner was killed in the line of duty by a drug dealer who has since been taken down. Steven Seagal drives one bad ass 1973 Mach 1.

Transformers Mustang on Ebay

Saleen Mustang from TransformersI was wondering about this car the other day… I was thinking, what happened to some of the Saleen Mustang props from the movie. Well this isn’t an actual prop from the movie, but it is a replica just like the one from the movie. It looks gorgeous, I absolutely loved the one from the movie. I actually liked it a little better than the 2009 Camaro, which is really hard for me to say since I’m a big Camaro fan. They did a little modifying to it because of copyrights and such. The 911 has been changed to 411, “To punhish and enslave” has been replaced with “Power in the hands of a few.” And of course the flashing lights have been taken down from the top of the car, the police doesn’t want you zooming around town thinking you are a cop from transformers. I wonder who the lucky owner will be?

The Maaco Medusa Mustang

The company Maaco really has developed one of the world’s finest show cars for the SEMA Show this year. This super modified Mustang packs 550 horses under the hood, making it a beast out on the road. Along with power, Maaco applied DuPont color-shifting ChromaLusion paint. Definitely making it a very unique Mustang compared to the rest. They also used a saleen body kit, lambo doors, and sweet LCD screen inside to help liven things up for enthusiasts at the show. This Mustang really must of turned heads, what a car!

Real Kitt Mustang Revealed

Knight Rider Mustang

Finally the real Mustang Kitt has been revealed to Mustang enthusiasts across the web. The Stang absolutely looks amazing I think, I like the dark demon look they created for it. KITT was designed by Galpin Auto Sports out of California in only one week under intense guidlines. The black rims look really cool along with the split headlights, I really like those, reminds me of the Mustang GTR. The car will be making it’s appearance in February, a two hour movie without the cheese ball David Hasselhoff.

Mustang gets a new Glass Top Option

Glass TopIt’s about time Ford liven things up with cool option for the S197 Mustang. The announcement was made Tuesday that there will be a glass top option for the 2009 Mustang V6 or GT. The option carries a $1995 value.

The glass top is made of tinted privacy glass so it’s alot easier on your eyes and keeps your interior cool during the hot summers. It will also keep your leather interior from being damaged by the rays of light. Strong rays of light can fade your dashboard and leather which can lead to a bad look for your Mustang. The cool glass top will come with a roller blind to block out the sun on really bright days. Also, it is made out of safety glass so it doesn’t shadder into sharp edges when you get into an accident.

This is a really neat option, I’m sure some of my buddies might be thinking about getting a new S197 now. I know a lot of Mustang enthusiasts were looking for this option for awhile. It’s was really not fair since the Camaro and Trans Am carried the t-top option. I can’t wait to get the chance of sitting in one at the Detroit Auto show, the Mustang option will make it’s debut there.
