1963 Ford Mustang Concept

Mustang ConceptI was born in 1982 so this is the first time I have ever seen this mustang concept. I was doing some mustang research late one night on the internet and came across this mustang concept, boy I’m glad ford didn’t end up mass producing this Mustang design. It’s rather awful, but I bet if you were alive back in 1963 I’m sure it looked prett darn cool. It definitely seems way ahead of it’s time, the scoop on the side really reminds me of the Lamborghini Murcielago. It’s a lot of fun discovering stuff like this on the web.

Ford Mustang Truck

Mustang TruckThis is definitely one weird Mustang, don’t you think? It’s definitely not my cup of tea, but it’s pretty cool someone decided to build this custom Ford Mustang Truck. Jenny Toby from Sacramento, CA is the owner of this unique Mustang. One day she got rear ended by another car and afterwards sent it to Mustang/Ranger conversion shop. Twelve months later this custom Mustang truck was born.

Mustang Saleen Rear is like Sex!

Mustang Saleen RearThis is my favorite part of the S197 Saleen Mustang, it is sexy as hell! Steve Saleen’s designers did one hell of a job building a unique rear end. If you’re not familiar with muscle cars you should know that the rear end is one of the most crucial parts of a muscle car. It shows how much horse power you’re packing by your tire size. And the bumper, rear lights, and spoiler give it a mean muscular stance. A lot of mustang enthusiasts like taking pictures of their Mustang’s back end rather than the front because it shows such an angry stance.

I tell you, it can be rather hard finding a car with sweet rear end such as the Mustang Saleen. What I really like is the rear lights and center panel, puts a very sharp look to it. The twin polished tips out the back make it look sweet also. The slits on the bottom ground effects with the metal mesh are of course expected just like the other Saleen Mustangs, which also sets it apart from other muscle cars. I think a lot of enthusiasts don’t understand how hard it is to implement all these unique looks without making it too gaudy. Saleen has done it and I show my thanks by writing this article.

That’s one hell of an engine. The color options will be black, silver, and Hemi orange. All colors will come with carbon fiber hood stripes in memory of the old Charger. The car will be built at the Canadian Assembly Plant in Brampton, Ontario. Hope you Mustang guys are prepared!

Moroso Spiral Flow Mufflers for your Mustang

Moroso Spiral Flow MufflersMoroso makes some really nice sounding bullet mufflers for your Mustang. They have a very unique sound to them, it’s somewhat like how an older muscle car sounds. It gives your Stang a bit of a cam loping sound, which is pretty sweet I think. And it’s still bearable, it’s really not that loud, just sounds perfectly tuned. I’ve heard these on LS1s and they sound sweet, check them out on Moroso’s website.

X-Pipe or H-Pipe on your Mustang

Mustang X PipeMustang enthusiasts have different views on whether to go with x-pipe or h-pipe. The two major elements that decipher which is better for your Mustang is sound and performance. It is proven on a dyno that x-pipe will give you a little more of a performance gain than h-pipe, but supposively h-pipe will give your Mustang a better tuned sound. Many enthusiasts argue that you are better going with x-pipe no matter what. It’s really not a big decision since there isn’t a huge difference I think, but still some argue about it and you may want to research it some more.

Waxing your Mustang Wheels

Mustang WheelsA good amount of Mustang enthusiasts wax their wheels to protect the clear coat on them. It’s a good decision especially if you live in Northeastern part of the United States. We have strong winters and the salt on the road can eat right through your clear coat on your rims. That can cause serious damage to your high polished aluminum rims, then you would have to resand them and repolish them to a shiny finish. That can be rather costly if you have a company do it or if you decide to do it, it can be rather tedious. There are some good waxes out there, I suggest going with Mothers or Mequiars. Some may fog up your rim, so do some research.

Tesla Motors: Electric Mustang in the Future?

BatteryWell out of know where a company named Tesla Motors has come into the picture with an electric sports car. Their sports car goes 0-60 in under 4 seconds, less than 2 cents per mile. How would you like those statistics on your next Mustang? If you think I’m bullshitting you, I not! Check it out yourself - link.

Now I’m challenging Ford to do the same! I mean if a small company such as Tesla can do it, why can’t Ford? Yes, Tesla’s sports car is a little costly, but if you read up on their site they use the top of the line products such as a carbon fiber body, superior metal frame, and top of the line battery. They also mention that the price of the car will lower within a few years as technology gets better. With all this being said I would really like to see an electric Mustang. Could you imagine cruising like the old days near the cost of nothing. I mean if you compare it today with the price we are paying for gas, it’s nothing near that!!!

Cool Custom Mustang

Custom MustangFound this custom Mustang doing a search on Google. It has the slanted-split headlights I like, very similar to the Ford GTR. The whole body kit looks like a Mustang GTR, but it doesn’t have the same colors. I wonder where this picture was taken. Maybe at a SEMA show, not quite sure. I would of left out the side stripe on the hood and would of painted the ground effects the same as the silver paint, but that’s just my preference. Still is a nice looking Mustang though, thought I’d share it with the mustangblog.net community.

Mustang Wheelie

One of the craziest Mustang wheelies I have ever seen! This foxbody Mustang does 9.715 in the quarter mile, that’s a great run. The Mustang must have some major work done to it, like a supercharger or turbo.
