Mustang GTR
It really pisses me off Ford didn’t go further with the Mustang GTR. I know the GTR was a concept, but come on. The car looks amazing, I think it really turned heads when it showed up on Woodward and other cruises in my state, Michigan. I actually got a closer look of the mustang at the Harper Cruise a few years ago. Car was absolutely everything I thought it would be from its pictures. The engine is a 5.0-liter EFI “Cammer” crate engine, producing around 500 hp. Although the car is one hell of a beast, I remember hearing from one of the road test drivers it doesn’t perform like it should. Most likely it needs a better tune.
I really do like everything about it, the body design, the side pipes, and the color scheme. Main element I absolutely love is the pointed-split headlights, gives the car a mean aggressive look, which some mustangs lack. The grille ads a sort of cool muscular look to it also, along with the borderless mustang symbol. The spoiler is a little Tunerish, but I actually like it. Plus it’s actually functional unlike some of the ricers out there. The small bulge in the hood goes along nicely with the car also. Rear lights have a one of a kind look too them, haven’t seen them on any mustangs out there or in any aftermarket part store, which I’m kind of sorry to say.
Ford really produced a sweet concept, I know it would be way too expensive to make for the consumer and the company with the kind of mods it has. But they could still implement the headlights, rear lights, hood, or side pipes on some of the future model mustangs. Everyone I have talk too is always talking about this car, it’s just so sad Ford hasn’t done anything about it.
